Dr Rebecca Menhinnitt

Dr Rebecca Menhinnitt is a Consultant Psychiatrist with a special interest in neuropsychiatry, providing comprehensive, evidence-based care across a broad range of mental health presentations. Her clinical experience spans neuropsychiatry, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), early psychosis,  adult psychiatry, with a particular focus on understanding the complex relationship between mental health, neurological conditions and life circumstances.

Dr Menhinnitt has a warm, collaborative approach to assessment and treatment, working closely with patients to develop individualised treatment plans that reflect their goals, needs and circumstances. She has an interest in the assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, treatment-resistant depression, PTSD and trauma-related presentations, as well as ADHD, neurodiversity and functional neurological disorder (FND).

She also has an interest in supporting people whose mental health concerns are impacting their ability to work, including WorkCover-related presentations, and provides care for veterans and current service personnel.

Dr Menhinnitt is committed to providing compassionate, person-centred care and takes the time to understand each patient's individual experience. Her approach combines contemporary psychiatric practice with a holistic understanding of the factors that contribute to mental health and wellbeing.
